BLACKMORES has announced that it has contributed over $1.2 million to the Macular Degeneration (MD) Foundation since October 2003.
A percentage of Blackmores Macu-Vision sales goes towards further research and education, and supports macular health initiatives.
Blackmores executive chairman, Marcus Blackmore, said his company was delighted that the Foundation continues to undertake a crucial role in education and raising awareness and support for the MD community.
Blackmores Macu-Vision provides nutrients important to the macular region of the eye. Antioxidants zinc and vitamins C and E play a significant role in protection against free radical damage in the macula, retina and lens of the eye.
