Key appointment for HIP

Appointment: Health Corporation's new chief financial officer

Health Corporation has appointed Stephen Sippel as its chief financial officer and company secretary.

According to Ken Lee, managing director of Health Corporation, Mr Sippel has more than 20 years experience in financial management.

"Stephen is a chartered accountant with an MBA and comes to Health Corporation with considerable experience in dealing with a listed company. He is a senior finance executive with broad commercial, financial and management skills, well equipped to handle the issues faced by a chief financial officer of a rapidly growing ASX listed company like Health Corporation," he said.

Mr Lee said the foundations were now in place for the company to build its franchised network of pharmacies under the Health Information Pharmacy (HIP) brand. The company has recently reached a further milestone with the network now reaching 33 pharmacies.

"The company is on track to have in excess of 50 outlets under the Health Information Pharmacy (HIP) brand by the end of June 2008, which will drive substantial revenue and profit growth over the next two years.

"As part of this process we will be recruiting some of the best people in the industry to assist us in achieving our goals," Mr Lee said.
