Senator Jan McLucas to open APP

Show of support: Senator Jan McLucas

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health and Ageing will open APP this year.

In a strong show of support for community pharmacy Senator Jan McLucas will open the event on Friday 28 March at 10.00am.

The Parliamentary Secretary will also present a keynote address, providing delegates with an overview on the government's health policies and the partnership between the government, pharmacy and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.

Guild national president, Kos Sclavos, said he was delighted that the Senator would be participating in the Guild’s annual national conference, and strongly encouraged members to attend.

Following her presentation Senator McLucas will present the awards to the winners of the Professional Services and Innovation, Rural/Small, or People’s Choice categories of the Pharmacy of the Year 2008, as well as to the overall award winner.
