Support for Xenical backing

The survey revealed that 63 per cent of members were aware of the endorsement with most expressing awareness of the benefits of Xenical and its evidence based outcomes.

The survey also revealed that members were actively engaging in educating their customers on diet and exercise as part of a holistic approach to weight loss.

They commented that they believed that Xenical was a "safe and steady way to lose weight", that it "helps to change eating habits to enable a healthy long term lifestyle change", and that it "helps people recognise the amount of fat consumed in their diet". 

"It is extremely important that pharmacy promotes evidence-based weight loss products and Xenical is the most widely tested and efficacious non-prescription weight product on the market," said Guild national president Kos Sclavos. 

"But it is also important that pharmacy take a leading role in promoting diet and exercise and a healthy lifestyle as part of the weight loss regime," he said.
