You can clearly hear the enthusiasm and satisfaction in Tasmanian pharmacist Madeleine Bowerman’s voice as she explains why last year was such a landmark one for her, both personally and professionally.
Last February, she fulfilled the ambition that had propelled her into studying pharmacy in the first place, when she became a partner in a pharmacy in Sorell, just out of Hobart.
“My goal in my life was to get a pharmacy so I feel really happy that I’ve achieved that now,” says Mrs Bowerman, 33. “My father had his own business, and I’ve always had it drummed into me, ‘make sure you have your own business’.”
