The terms of reference for a Senate inquiry into the Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement (5CPA) “look disturbingly like a witch hunt” the Pharmacy Guild of Australia believes.
The Guild reaffirmed its opposition to an inquiry into the 5CPA, with Senators due to vote on a proposal by Australian Greens’ health spokesperson, Senator Richard di Natale (pictured) tomorrow.
A Guild spokesperson told Pharmacy News, there was no need for an inquiry and described the proposed terms of reference as unconstructive.
“Our view is that the current terms of reference that were proposed by Senator di Natale, last year, are not constructive, and we certainly wouldn’t support them,” the spokesperson said.
