Delivering PA analgesic education in store

Pharmacists have a new education tool to help train their staff in delivering the best advice on over-the-counter (OTC) analgesics.
Last week, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia sent letters to all pharmacists, notifying them of the release of a new quality use of medicines (QUM) education kit called: ‘Analgesics: What you thought you knew’ by Reckitt Benckiser, which focuses on ibuprofen and paracetamol.
Authored by world-renowned biomedical researcher, Professor Kim Rainsford, and developed in conjunction with the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, pharmacists who facilitate the training can claim two category Group 3 CPD points.
Pharmacists can deliver the kit as a small group learning activity, which takes around an hour to complete and comprise interactive activities.
