The Priceline group will provide free advice on to women contraception and menopause through its ‘Live Well’ programs.
Priceline announced the free consultations would be provided by accredited pharmacists in their 180 pharmacies to redress a lack of awareness of these issues, after research showed 60 per cent of unwanted pregnancies occur in Australia despite women using a contraceptive method.
The ‘Live Well’ programs will run until 3 August, 2011, whereby Priceline Clubcard members will receive 25 points for a consultation, however customers will still be able to receive advice from their pharmacist after this date.
Bronwyn Flanagan, Priceline’s pharmacy services manager, said many women using contraception such as the pill or the mini-pill, felt they were well protected against unplanned pregnancies.
