The TGA has warned health professionals of three potential but rare issues with the Medtronic Paradigm Insulin Pump.
Medtronic, in consultation with the TGA, issued a safety advisory this week regarding three potential issues including a loose drive support cap with the cap sticking out, sensor graph timeout and water damage with its Medtronic Paradigm Insulin Pump.
The affected model numbers are:
MMT-511
MMT-512
MMT-515
MMT-522
MMT-554
MMT-712
MMT-715

MMT-754
The sensor graph timeout issue only applies to users who have a Paradigm VEO pump (model numbers MMT-554 and MMT-754), and only if they use Medtronic Continuous Glucose Monitoring and have the Low Glucose Suspend feature enabled.
If a patient presents with a Medtronic Paradigm Insulin Pump that exhibits any of the identified issues, please advise them of the information provided for consumers in the above section.
